SOLANIC GOTTA GO FAST
Solana mainnet · live
The wait before a Solana transaction is locked in for good goes from ~7 seconds to ~0.15 seconds. Faster than a blink. Faster than you can react. Watch it happen live, right here.

For about 7 seconds the network is still checking it. After that it's locked in for good and can never be reversed. That wait is the big red number up top, measured live every second.
Until the switch, the network spent about 7 seconds checking it. After that it's locked in for good and can never be reversed. That wait is the number up top, measured live every second.
A new way for Solana's computers to agree on each block. The press and the Solana Foundation call it the biggest upgrade in the network's history.
About 45× faster. A blink takes ~0.3 s. Reacting takes ~0.25 s. After Wednesday, At its target, Solana locks in your transaction before you could even click.
Payments, trades and games on Solana start to feel instant and final, more like tapping a card than waiting on a bank transfer.
Then play the game below: can you react faster than Solana? Almost nobody beats 150 ms.
The number up top is read live from Solana's own mainnet every second. Nobody types it in.
Six levels. Each one, a Solana block races across the pad. Tap before it lands. Every level is faster. Can you get past 150 ms?
Lock-in time, every 5 seconds, last 48 h. When Alpenglow switches on, this line should drop to the floor. The drop is the moment Alpenglow switched on.
he's fast(drawn in MS Paint, on purpose)Solanic is Sanic, the internet's favourite badly drawn hedgehog, wearing a Solana shirt. TodayOn Oct 21 Solana's lock-in time dropsdropped from ~7 seconds to ~0.15 seconds. A speed jump like that deserves a meme.
It's a meme coin: no roadmap, no promises, and it can go to zero. Not financial advice.
No. It's a fan site and a meme. The upgrade itself is 100% real: see the proof straight from the Solana Foundation and Anza, the team that builds Solana's main validator software.
When you send money on Solana it shows up almost instantly, but for a few more seconds the network is still voting on it. Once enough of Solana's computers agree, it's final: it can never be reversed. That wait is the big number at the top of this page. Today it's about 7 seconds. Alpenglow's target is about 0.15.It used to be about 7 seconds.
The upgrade turns on at the start of Solana's epoch 1064, and Alpenglow takes over consensus 5,000 slots later (slot 459,653,000). Anza put that at about 14:00 UTC on Wed Oct 21 (7 am Pacific, 10 am New York), give or take a few minutes, because it depends on how fast blocks are made. The countdown counts to the epoch; the meter shows the moment it really happens.
That's the target. Nobody has seen it under full mainnet load yet, so this page doesn't guess, it measures: every second the server asks Solana how many blocks are still waiting and turns that into seconds. Whatever Solana actually does shows up on the meter.
Then the page says "waiting for the switch" and keeps measuring. Nothing here is faked or typed in by hand.
No. Wallets, apps, fees and tokens keep working exactly the same. Solana just gets faster.
The meme coin for this moment, with Sanic as the mascot. The address is only ever posted on this page and on @SolanicSOL. It's a meme, not an investment.
